There are so many wonderful places to get married in Charleston SC that it is hard to know where to begin the list.  You can get married on the beach, outdoors beside one of our beautiful tidal creeks or in one of our historic churches.  We have several denominations where Charleston owns the first or oldest church in America.  For example the oldest Catholic church in America sits downtown here in the Low Country.

We have three pristine beaches where you can deliver your nuptuals as well.  Sullivan's Island, The Isle of Palms and Folly beach surround the Charleston area. 

Then there are lawns.  We have some fabulous outdoor settings beside historic homes or golf club houses.  The possibilities are endless.  The possibilities do, however, book very quickly.  So plan on reserving one of the Places to get married in Charleston SC about a year in advance.

Beaches

Our three area beaches, Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, and Sullivan's Island, are public beaches.   Thus, anyone wanting to get married on the beach could do so almost anywhere in the area.  There are ample parking spaces on all three beaches which are all free and an access point at almost every avenue. (They are called "Stations" on Sullivan's Island).

The islands may have ordinances requiring a license or permission to get married on the beach, but you will have to contact the townships individually to ask them.

We have a huge golf community of golfers and courses.  You might try Yahoo! Local search to find Golf Courses (Country Clubs) that may have availability for your event.   There, you will find 4-5 pages of listings.  Each has a phone number and contact information.
